DAVAO CITY – A 55 year-old woman died in a fire incident on Easter Sunday dawn, an official of the Bureau of Fire Protection said.
BFP-Davao fire inspector Nestor Jimenez said one residential fire happened at 4:00 am on Sunday in Gravahan, Matina. Jimenez said the woman used a candle during the blackout.
The incident coincided with the Mindanao-wide blackout which started 1:00 am.
Jimenez said from April 1 to 6, the BFP recorded 19 fire incidents, 14 of which are grass fires, three car fires and two residential fires.
