Following the success of Palarong Pambansa 2015, organizers claimed that the Davao del Norte Sports Complex is ready to host a multi-sports tournament such as the Southeast Asian Games.
The National Capital Region was crowned as the overall champion during the closing ceremony of the 2015 Palarong Pambansa held in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
The Region 11’s Davao Region Athletic Association has won gold in Basketball (Elementary Category) here Friday which was considered to be a first and a record breaking title since the organization joined the Palarong Pambansa.

A crowd of 18, 000 athletes, coaches and guardians from the country’s 17 regions gathered at the Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex in Tagum City to formally open the 2015 Palarong Pambansa Monday afternoon.

Davao del Norte Provincial Health Officer Dr. Agapito Hornido said athletes of the 2015 Palarong Pambansa “are at risk in high temperatures”.

Tagum City Mayor Allan Rellon assured the public of peace and order as the city hosts the 2015 Palarong Pambansa from May 3 to May 9, which is the country’s largest sporting event.
