A Free Dominiciano “Dioning” Muya movement was launched Tuesday by colleagues and human rights advocates at the protestant United Catholic Churches of the Philippines (UCCP) Haran compound.
Saying that their grievances were “unheard and neglected” by the national government, some 300 indigenous people, peasants, environment advocates and human rights group will travel to Manila Thursday in an activity dubbed “Manilakbayan.”

After a month of seeking sanctuary here, Manobos are set to go home following an agreement brokered by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Davao del Norte Gov. Rodolfo del Rosario who secured a word from the military to withdraw from their operations in at least 11 villages in Talaingod town.
